Quality Teaching is the need of the hour. It depends upon competency skills of the Teachers. These skills can be developed and promoted through Quality Teacher Education. Women's University College of Education, Kodaikanal is a Constituent College of Mother Teresa Women's University, the only Women's University, in Tamil Nadu, situated at Kodaikanal, a hill station, in Palani Hills and it is a boon for the socially and economically underprivileged candidates who have teaching attitude and aptitude. The B.Ed College came into existence on 4th October 2006 with NCTE approval No. FSRO: 7311, dated 30.08.2006. It strives to educate, enhance and empower student teachers through its best principles and practices. Another salient feature of the Women’s University College of Education is, it flourishes with the pedagogical and research support continuously from the Department of Education of Mother Teresa Women’s University which has been functioning since 1985, from the time of the inception of the University.
